Presentation
- Property taxation and investment - how to maximise the value of your property
investments
On 18 September
2003 Steve Wood of our Leytonstone office gave a presentation on property taxes
and investment in conjunction with Glenny Chartered Surveyors. The first part
of the lecture on property taxes (available below) was given by Steve and gave
relevant examples of how different situations would give rise to different
taxation considerations. The taxes dealt with ranged from Capital Gains Tax and
Inheritance Tax through to Income Tax, Corporation Tax and VAT.
Introduced by
Nick Vivian, a partner in Glenny Chartered Surveyors specialising in property
management, John Parry and Richard Ellis then gave presentations into the
information you will need when evaluating commercial property assets and
compare them to other types of investments and the tricky issue of the best
(and worst) clauses needed in a good lease agreement to ensure the landlord and
the tenant are given the full protection of the law. |
